After a time of searching, a friend emailed me a job posting for an early interventionist position, so that I could help other families who suspect or are experiencing delays with their children's development. Because I did not have the education yet to do the job, I got hired as a paraprofessional. My new boss referred me to start a masters degree in early childhood special education. I am now working as an early interventionist and early childhood special educator, and my degree is ALMOST finished!
I've started this blog to record some of the things I've learned along the way, and to provide links to the resources that were an encouragement to me. I hope that this will help others know, love, and motivate children — and their parents! — throughout life's challenges.
